We have made great progress in establishing ourselves as a community woodland. Over the years we have started to transform an overgrown grassland field into a new broadleaf woodland, managed the existing native woodland for biodiversity, and run regular conservation, wellbeing and education events for our members and the public.
We have many plans for the future which include creating a community orchard, establishing a wildflower working group for enhancing the ground flora of our woodland, monitoring biodiversity changes, running an active events programme every year and sustaining our volunteer and staff roles.
We strive to create a culture of inclusivity and accessibility. As a result many of our events, workshops and education opportunities are free or by sliding scale. To maintain this ethos, and as a result of being a small, not-for-profit organisation, regular donations underpin everything we do.
