Scything With Sima!

Thanks to the volunteers who last week learned scything techniques, as well as peening and sharpening from the wonderful teacher, Sima, whilst keeping the bracken at bay in our newly planted Community Orchard area.

A nurturing day with spirits lifted by afternoon sun and souls grounded in working the land.

Thank you Sima for being a great teacher. It is a real craft to scythe and it is very good to learn about the care of the tools and techniques.”

If you are interested to learn scything techniques and would like to join us for our next bracken cutting session, drop us an email at threehareswoodland@gmail.com
